Meet the Team!

The people who make the Lyceum Women possible

Executive Director

Hi, nice to meet you! My name is Hanseul, the founder of the Lyceum Women. I began this project as a small idea, inspired by the change literature has made to my personal life and a staunch belief that literacy should never be limited by gender or identity. I’m a total enthusiast for books, STEM, and art!

As books shape a majority of my life, the Lyceum Women project is my way of contributing my passion and sharing the importance of social advocacy in an age that puts literacy to the sidelines. I love talking about various topics of literature and philosophy and am so excited to share my love for it through this project.

Thank you for being a part of this journey with me!

Hi, my name is Zoe! As someone interested in researching history, it has become so important to me to stay mindful of the process it took women to achieve the rights they have today. My goal in the Lyceum Women project is to connect women’s history to the modern feminist movement through female-authored literature and media. I’m so excited to teach and learn alongside other women to better understand the world from a female lens.”

Board Secretary

Hi! My name is Madeleine. I’m a senior fine arts major at LaGuardia High School. I’m a part of the Lyceum Women project because feminism and literature are so important to me. Not only is knowledge power, but it is about knowing, understanding, and educating yourself and the people around you about such an important topic. Additionally, being aware of the current social climate is so important!
